Soccer standout Eliza Doxey, the inaugural Deseret News Girls Humanitarian of the Year, made a significant impact through her dedication to community service and leadership at Timpview High. She played a crucial role in the “Principal’s Pantry,” ensuring disadvantaged students had access to essential supplies, and planned Provo’s Veteran’s Day Celebration. Eliza also initiated 60 school spirit flags to boost pride and served as Student Body President and Junior Class President.
Her community contributions include organizing a literacy project for the Boys & Girls Club of Utah County, raising over $100,000 for the Sub for Santa project, and volunteering at the Provo Freedom Festival and Kids on the Move Program. Eliza’s inclusive leadership and service make her a well-deserving recipient of this prestigious award.
