Few coaches have dominated their sport quite like this year’s Deseret News Male Coach of the Year. Last year was but a microcosm of that success as he led his team to a 13-1 record, a state championship and a No. 13 national ranking. Over the past six years, he’s led Corner Canyon to four state titles and a ridiculous 87-7 record. Regarded as an offensive wiz, he’s developed some of the best quarterbacks the state of Utah has ever produced, including one currently in the NFL and three others playing for major college programs. The 2024 Deseret News Male Coach of the Year is Corner Canyon football coach Eric Kjar.
