Jane Hedengren

Already regarded as one of the best distance runners in state history, this year’s Deseret News Ms. Track went out and obliterated even more records in 2024. She broke her own 1,600-meter statewide record by six seconds with a time of 4:37. At the state meet, she became the first female to ever run under 10 minutes in the 3,200 meters, clocking a phenomenal 9:52 and breaking the previous record by 21 seconds. She also anchored Timpview’s record-setting 4×800 relay team. Just a junior, and someone who’s already been on stage once tonight, Timpview High’s Jane Hedengren is the 2024 Ms. Track recipient.
