Lewis Knecht

This year’s Deseret News Male Athlete of the Year is a two-sport athlete. He played a niche role as an elite kicker on the football team, but on the soccer field, he was an elite striker, the best of the best. He recorded 37 goal contributions this season in leading American Fork to back-to-back state titles, and he’s a signature signing for UVU’s men’s soccer team as it’s set to move into its brand new stadium this fall. He’s been an EA National Best XI honoree, and with his club team Wasatch SC, he won USYS, EA, and E64 national championships. From American Fork, Lewis Knecht.
